The Crossroads by John Trent
Alone I travel this earthen hell
Fear consumes each step I take
My obstacles treacherous, oh so many
My mind is blurred from all the pain
At sanity’s crossroad so confused I stand
A future uncertain terrifyingly unplanned
Depression suffocates as my body constricts
Knotted my mind, it strangles and twists
Profound is the sorrow
A disdain for life’s dread
This long lonely highway
Of insanity I tread
Fear consumes each step I take
My obstacles treacherous, oh so many
My mind is blurred from all the pain
At sanity’s crossroad so confused I stand
A future uncertain terrifyingly unplanned
Depression suffocates as my body constricts
Knotted my mind, it strangles and twists
Profound is the sorrow
A disdain for life’s dread
This long lonely highway
Of insanity I tread
